This car was delivered to Auto-Neumeyr Garching GmbH/Germany in 1980 and was then sold and imported by pop singer-songwriter Christopher Cross through Mike Dietel. In 1985, it was sold to the photographer/editor of Road & Track, and famed Porsche/Pikes Peak champion, Jeff Zwart. In 1999, it was sold to Chicago collector, Steven Hansen, who in turn sold the car to the current owner in September 2006. In late 2006, the car underwent a thorough cosmetic restoration performed by Casey Motorsports, Petaluma, and Brian Moore Restorations, Sacramento.
